Another strong feature of ABC's engines is the presence of increasing or continuous torque at slowing speed. The axial turbocharging and the principle of medium speed engines with a relatively low brake mean effective pressure (BMEP), offers advantages in many applications, including the dredging industry. For example, the ABC torque curve offers an answer to sudden fluctuations in the load (e.g. pumping up of sludge). This results in a more stable and efficient usage and a more sustainable operation of the engine.

Our efficient engines can work different types of fuel and fuel qualities. In addition to Marine Diesel Oil (MDO) or Marine Gas Oil (MGO), ABC engines can also be adapted for use with heavy fuel oil (HFO) or for operation in dual fuel (diesel pilot injection with LNG or CNG) mode.

All these matters have a significant influence on the operational costs of your company. ABC‘s total life-cycle costs are far more advantageous than high speed engines.
